Xiis–Xaysimo
Overview
Xiis–Xaysimo is Deeqa Mining & Exploration’s flagship project area and the primary focus of its transition from exploration to mining. Following extensive comparative exploration across multiple regions of Somaliland, Xiis–Xaysimo emerged as the most compelling area based on geological indicators, gold potential, and long-term operational viability. Field campaigns identified zones of high-grade mineralization within structurally favorable host rocks, supported by surface workings and historical activity. Equally important, the project benefits from strong local acceptance built through sustained community engagement and trust.
Gold Potential
Exploration activities at Xiis–Xaysimo identified multiple gold-bearing structures exhibiting characteristics consistent with high-grade mineralization. Surface expressions, artisanal workings, and sampling results indicate the presence of coarse gold within quartz-hosted systems. These features, combined with favorable structural controls, suggest strong upside potential as the project advances into systematic mining and development.
Exploration Status
Xiis–Xaysimo represents the most advanced outcome of Deeqa’s decade-long exploration program. The area has undergone repeated field campaigns, mapping, and sampling, providing Deeqa with a deep understanding of local geology and mineralization trends. This level of familiarity significantly reduces early-stage uncertainty and positions the project for an efficient transition into mining operations.
Community Engagement
Deeqa has invested significant time in building strong relationships with local communities in the Xiis–Xaysimo area. Engagement efforts were carried out consistently throughout exploration activities, fostering mutual trust and alignment. As a result, the project benefits from a receptive operating environment, which is considered a critical advantage for sustainable and uninterrupted mining operations.
